Our Approach
Thorough, measured, and respectful. A method that serves the property and the people affected by it.
Consider the Whole Picture
Before any engagement, we consider conventional explanations alongside other possibilities. Some reported disturbances have entirely ordinary causes that can be identified and addressed.
This is not a dismissal of the client's experience — it is a responsible approach that serves the client's interests. Ruling out the conventional first means the work that follows is focused, credible, and effective.
What We Consider
Environmental Factors
Carbon monoxide, electrical faults, HVAC noise, plumbing, structural movement, and wildlife can all produce unsettling effects.
Property History
Understanding the property's history — architecture, previous uses, land use, known events — provides essential context for reported activity.
Occupant Experience
We listen carefully to what has been reported, by whom, and over what period. Patterns matter.
Security & Trespass
On larger properties, security and trespass issues can sometimes be mistaken for unexplained activity. We consider this as part of the assessment.
Our Principles
Respect the Property
We work with the fabric of the building, not against it. Listed interiors, historic furnishings, and conservation requirements are respected.
Respect the Client
Your schedule, your preferences, your confidentiality. Everything is on your terms.
Be Honest
If an engagement is not appropriate, we say so. If conventional explanations are more likely, we say so. Our approach is grounded in honesty, not pretense.
Discuss Your Situation
A private, no-obligation conversation costs nothing and may provide clarity.
